Job description

We have a great opportunity available for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join an award winning, successful Contractor on a permanent basis who have been established for a number of years and have experienced a sustained period of growth.

The company work within the Social Housing sector and have a number of live contracts within retrofit/decarbonisation of tenanted properties across the region, up to the value of approximately £5m.

They are looking for an experienced QS to join their close knit team. This will be working across approximately 4-5 contracts (JCT form) across the Cumbria and North East region, based from the company's North Shields office.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, your duties will include:

• Prepare and monitor cash flow forecast for designated projects
• Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment to the Client/Client's representative
• Prepare CVRs for the Management team
• Submit invoices for certified value and ensure payments are received on time
• Value and authorise payments to subcontractors
• Liaise with Contract Managers to establish the project specification and requirements
• Liaise with Contractors, Suppliers and the Client to establish project specification and requirements
• Attend and contribute to meetings with work colleagues and or Clients/Customers when necessary
• Monitor the contract progress, assess and report any changes that may affect project costs and or time scale
• Assist in the control of individual contract budgets
• Ensure all necessary contract documentation / reports are accurate and produced on time.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a stable and progressive career history as a Quantity Surveyor.

Ideally, the successful candidate will come from a Social Housing background, ideally with some experience working within renewables/energy efficiency projects. Alternatively, candidates with a plumbing background may also be suitable for the role.

The salary is negotiable, depending on your experience. The company also offer an attractive package.
