Bolton at Home
Location

Job description
Board Member
Bolton, Greater Manchester
Remuneration: £6,650
Our aim at Bolton at Home is to create homes and communities we can all be proud of. Owning, managing and maintaining more than 18,000 homes across Bolton, Greater Manchester and the North West, we are a charitable community benefit society with a successful track record of investing to improve the housing offer, giving as many people as possible the opportunity to have a decent and affordable home. We help our communities in many ways including development, regeneration, community support projects, employment support and helping customers to maximise their income.
By 2024 we aim to have built at least 1,400 affordable new homes, and alongside our unwavering community focus it’s essential that we continue our wider regional level work, making the most of our group structure to acquire more properties, deliver contracts and training opportunities, and provide the means to invest even more in our communities.
There is now an opportunity for a property professional with board level exposure to join us. You will help to set and oversee our long term strategic direction and support our business planning and risk monitoring. You’ll also play a key role in ensuring that the Group Board fulfils its governance and compliance responsibilities, and that appropriate delegation and controls are in place to manage performance.
We are specifically looking for skills and experiences within strategic asset investment and / or property development. We encourage applications from those with insight into the social housing sector, although we are also interested in hearing from you if your career experience is within a comparably regulated and customer focused sector.
Equality and diversity is key to everything we do at Bolton at Home and we have signed up to the Chartered Institute of Housing’s Equality and Diversity Charter. We welcome applications from first time board members and will support you as you begin your non-executive career.
If you have the passion, skills and experience to help us achieve our vision of providing homes and support services as a foundation that enables people and our communities to flourish, then please click Apply to download the candidate pack.
