Job description
You will be helping women offenders in HMP Send making a real difference for a great charity (Investors in People / Best Company award winners).
You will work with a caseload of clients to provide support around areas such as employment, housing, debt advice, training, education, or drug and alcohol support. Meeting your clients on a regular basis to support them to progress, and to ensure they are making progress whilst serving their sentence and have support for when they are released. You will also run short courses covering areas such as domestic violence awareness, disclosure letters, goal setting, benefits, self-employment and CV writing.
You will be great with people. Able to manage paperwork (lots of it!). And being super organised (diary skills are key!). You must have experience relevant to the role, such as previously working as a Prison Officer, Support Worker, Employment Advisor, Resettlement Officer, Hostel Worker, Key Worker, or Drug & Alcohol Support Worker. Or you might be a criminology graduate looking for their first step on the career ladder (we have placed lots of candidates with this background).
