An opportunity has arisen to join a 580-cow Organic dairy herd supplying milk to Omsco on a non-antibiotic milk contract.
You will join a small team of five and be responsible for the rearing of their spring block calves. Previous experience is preferable, but further skills can still be gained on-the-job. You will work closely with the current team members to get the job done quickly and efficiently.
The successful candidate will be:
- Enthusiastic.
- Have a keen desire to work and care for animals.
- Willing to work hard.
- Be a good timekeeper.
- Have a desire to have a future in dairy farming.
- Will be prepared to work in varying weather conditions.
There may be opportunity for this role to become full-time after the initial 4-month calving / rearing season.
There is on-farm accommodation available.
The job is located in Misson, near Bawtry, on the Yorks / Notts border.
