Job description
Scottish Power Renewables are looking for a T&I Project Engineer to join their East Anglia Three project on a long term contract basis.
Role: T&I Project Engineer - Monopile Installations• Review and coordination of Contractor’s deliverables relating to T&I works.
• Coordination of Contractor’s works which may include assisting Lead Installation Manager, Package Manager, Deputy Package Manager and Contracts Manager.
• Review and comment on appropriateness for acceptance of approval of Variation orders (VOs)
• Perform and/or coordinate engineering activities required to identify improvements and corrective actions where required.
• In addition to the core responsibilities and accountabilities the Project Engineer may be delegated additional responsibilities related to the Construction of EA3 Wind Farm.
• Package Management
• Assist Lead Installation Manager to coordinate offshore works, engineering, and contractual activities.
• Coordination of information sharing and document review process between the package management team, the Contractor, any Related Works Contractors, the Marine Warranty Surveyor, the Independent Verification Society, Authorities and the Site Management teams.
• Responsible to complete or organize, as applicable, the administrative tasks needed by the EA3 project, related to the execution of installation works.
• Execution of the Works
• Review management of change of the Contractors procedures and associated RAMs
• Assist the package management team in managing and closing out contractor VOs
• Responsible for providing support to the package management team to ensure satisfactory close out of NCRs relating to transportation and installation.
Key Criteria
• Degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience in offshore wind or subsea discipline
• Demonstrable experiences in:
• o engineering design
• o transport and installation activities for offshore wind foundations
• o project management
• o contractor management
Working knowledge and understanding of:
• Health and Safety legislation relevant to marine operations.
• Monopile foundations knowledge.
• DNV standards for offshore wind and offshore marine operations
• UK Authority Requirements.
• Construction planning, Estimations & Risk Management.
• Commercial awareness (incl. FIDIC contracts).
Skills:
• Management of interfaces of multidisciplinary teams spread across multiple locations.
• Ability to implement quality assurance and environmental processes.
• Advanced user of Microsoft office applications.
• Ability to work UK offshore
