The Opportunity
Reporting to the National Recycling Manager, the Surfacing Solutions Recycling Junior Finance and Business Process manager will work as part of the recycling team to maximise the financial and process performance of the Surfacing Solutions recycling business within Aggregate Industries, ensuring compliance with financial and operational procedures, technical specification, environmental legislation and in line with targets.
You’ll manage monthly Management Accounts & Reports for area/national/ business units specified, in line with month end reporting timelines and ICS compliance and also review income/operating statements with the Management Accountant and Operations before close, which could include site managers, Financial Controller (FC) and General Manager.
Who you are?
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes. Assisting in executing key components of the planning process according to defined timelines.
- Ability to drive the continuous improvement process, by creating and evaluating process to achieve best possible result
- Safety and compliance awareness.
- Knowledge of the Asphalt Surfacing industry, Planings process and crushing operations would be preferred but not essential
- Knowledge and experience of asphalt and aggregate logistics to deliver cost effective and strategic solutions would be preferred but not essential
- Excellent Interpersonal skills to enable you to engage a wide variety of stakeholders at varying levels.

- Excellent communicator; oral, written and presentations.
-Excellent IT skills, specifically spreadsheets, databases, and ability to work with new software systems.

Responsibilities - Manage monthly Management Accounts & Reports for area/national/ business units specified, in line with month end reporting timelines and ICS compliance
- Review income/operating statements with Management Accountant and Operations before close. This could include site managers Financial Controller (FC) and GM. You’ll also be used to working to tight deadlines at month end.
- Assist in producing monthly value and profit forecast with the relevant Management team, to be submitted to area managers and Business Director (BD)
- Manage Sales ledger and Purchase ledger in accordance with agreed terms and KPIs
- Support the financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes. Assist in executing key components of the planning process according to defined timelines
