Job description
As a Class One Container Driver at ASA Recruitment, you will play a crucial role in our client’s logistics operations, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of containers.
You will be responsible for delivering goods with precision and professionalism while adhering to all safety and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Transport containers to and from designated locations with a focus on safety and efficiency.
2. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the proper functioning of the vehicle.
3. Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
4. Safely load and unload containers, securing cargo to prevent damage during transit.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deliveries and vehicle inspections.
6. Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and other team members to coordinate transportation activities.
7. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and ensuring the safe handling of goods.
Requirements:
1. Valid Class 1 driver’s license.
2. Proven experience in container transportation.
3. Knowledge of and adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
4. Ability to operate and maintain vehicles with a strong focus on safety.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
