Job description
Britain’s leading manufacturing company is currently looking for a Commodity Manager to join their team! The successful candidate will manage the Supply Base and sourcing activities to support projects within the UK, European and South American facilities.
The Commodity Manager will:
Achieve and report company targets on cost control, quality improvement and lead time improvement.
Identify and lead several cost reduction projects.
Manage a complex and varied workload, ensuring attention is maintained on key actions.
Work with suppliers to implement PACCARs Cost Management Programme and ensure Six Sigma projects are defined and implemented.
The Commodity Manager will have:
Degree qualification.
Very strong interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills.
Good Quality, Engineering, Process and Materials background.
Demonstrable administrative and IT skills.
Good commercial awareness.
