Monitor work on site on a weekly basis against the Contractor's Method Statements and the Construction Health and Safety Plan. Inspect the progress and quality of construction works for compliance with design, specification and current legislation through all stages of development.
Use specialist knowledge and experience of construction to advise key stakeholders of areas that do not meet building regulations or the material / component specification and recommend effective solutions.
Review design and tender documentation for new developments, feeding back to the Development team on compliance with the Design Brief, fire, gas and electrical regulations.
Work in partnership with the Development Officer on snagging and handovers to ensure properties meet the Employer's Requirements and agreed specification. Report any defect issues to the Development Manager and contractor as appropriate.
Use technical knowledge and expertise to review remedial works carried out by contractor and confirm to Development Manager that these have been carried out to the required standards.
Keep knowledge and training up to date in relation to current legislation, building regulations and CPD for professional membership requirements.
