We are an established yet still rapidly growing company in the construction market. In line with recent and projected revenue growth, we are now seeking to strengthen our procurement team with the addition of a dynamic and results-driven Head of Procurement, who using their expert knowledge can help to shape and manage our ongoing procurement strategy.
About the Role:
- Ensure that the substantial growth of the company is facilitated by the procurement team.
- Measurement of departmental success through the introduction, recording, use and review of key performance indicators.
- Continue to develop win-win supplier partnerships that meet our operational and strategic objectives.
- Work cohesively with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement activity is aligned to wider business goals.
- Streamline the procurement department ensuring stock levels are in line with working capital objectives and cost prices are negotiated to the most competitive available.
- Lead, coach and develop the team, creating an environment where employees are clear on the company, department and individual goals and are supported to reach their potential.
- Part of the Company’s senior management team, inputting into overall Company strategy, acting as a role model to others and supporting a positive team culture across the organisation
- Manage the supply chain to ensure optimum stock availability with clear stock holding targets and OTIF KPIs.
About You:
- Expert relationship builder across a range of external and internal stakeholders.
- Development of Company procurement strategy, able to think strategically and deliver operational excellence
- Experienced in Supply Chain Management, procurement governance and global sourcing
- The leadership of a procurement /purchasing department in a similar related industry/ across similar categories [eg construction supplies]
- A continuous improvement mindset can demonstrate the value they have added throughout their career.
- Able to engage the team with the overall vision and manage against clear deliverables.
- The potential to grow and develop in line with the business.
- Experience of working in a high-growth organisation is desirable.
- CIPS and degree level qualification.
