Job description

CMA Recruitment Group are exclusively partnering with a growing manufacturing organisation, based in Farnborough, to recruit a newly created Head of Finance role.

The primary objective of the Head of Finance is to ensure the smooth running of the finance function and to support the Managing Director through commercial and operational insight.

What will the role of the Head of Finance involve?

• Lead the finance team with responsibility for the month end accounting, general ledger analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, compliance and stock management;
• Grow and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally;
• Involvement in the development of systems including the implementation of 'bolt on' systems;
• Oversight of key tasks such as cashflow management, management accounting, budgeting and forecasting;
• Oversee the annual audit and tax computation preparation, including liaison with the auditors;
• Manage and develop a small team.

What will the Head of Finance need?

• Full qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA);
• Demonstrable experience in a strategic/leadership position at Financial Controller or Head of Finance level, ideally including experience within an SME environment;
• Audit experience and exposure to European Accounting;
• Comprehensive working knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP system;
• Proven track record of people management;
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a hands–on approach.
