Job description
Priory School is committed to providing a daily home-cooked healthy lunch and positive lunchtime experience for all our pupils. We are looking for a friendly, efficient and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen team.
Priory School is a “Good” Ofsted rated, diverse & multi-cultural Primary Foundation School located on the outskirts of Slough. There are approximately 690 children ranging from Nursery to Year 6. This is a great opportunity to be part of a creative and inspirational team in a supportive and caring environment.
Responsibilities include assisting the Catering Manager with:-
• the service of all meals
• the preparation, production and display of all products
• ensuring daily cleaning duties are fulfilled
• marketing the facility, including updating displays, menus, etc
• running pupil cooking clubs
Applicants should be able to demonstrate the following attributes:-
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work under pressure and to strict timescales in a very busy environment
• Willingness to undergo regular CPD relevant to their job role
• Ability to build positive working relationships with the team, pupils and other stakeholders
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a calm, professional manner
Salary is SCP 2, Level 2 £21,443 FTE, actual salary 22.5 hours per week (term time plus 5 Insets) - £11,184.
Hours of work are Monday-Friday, 10.00 am until 2.30 pm
