In this Plastering Lecturing role, your responsibilities will include:
An opportunity exists within the Construction team for a committed and enthusiastic lecturer in Plastering to prepare, support and deliver Plastering Qualifications up to Level III within the team. This post offers an opportunity to train and assess all aspects of Plastering qualifications to our apprentices and full-time students.
Carry out the following duties:
Teach in subject areas appropriate to qualifications and experience, having prepared the appropriate teaching materials. Teaching may be within the College or on an outreach basis.
Record attendance to ensure all students are enrolled and listed on register
Assess and record progress and consistently apply college quality policies and procedures
Complete attendance and assessment registers in line with college requirements
Provide first line guidance and support
Ensure that College policy on student discipline is complied with and report incidents to senior staff as necessary
Comply with equalities legislation in order to support inclusion and improve outcomes for learners
To comply with Health and Safety legislation and to act as a member of the College's Health and Safety team, where appropriate
Commit to the safety and wellbeing of all students and adhere to the General Teaching Council for Scotland's Code of Practice
Commit to equality and diversity and promote inclusiveness, trust and fairness
Participate actively in continuous career long development of professional knowledge, understanding and practice Promote and support a culture of quality improvement
Engage constructively in the college self-evaluation process
