Job description
Our client is a prestigious engineering company in Newcastle under Lyme. They are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join them for 3-6 months to assist with a backlog of work.
Duties for the Accounts Assistant will include:
- Accounts Receivable – cleansing data related to unallocated old debt
- Accounts Payable – matching and allocating payments made to invoices received e.g. on credit cards that are taken via Direct Debit
- Assisting the team to catch up with outstanding Accounts Payable invoices requiring to be processed before month-end
- Assisting with reconciliations relating to stock
Candidate requirements for the Accounts Assistant position: - Previous experience in an accounting/finance role
- An analytical approach
- Fantastic organisational skills
- The ability to learn new accounting software
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00 am - 5.00 pm
Pay Rate: £12.74ph - £14.42 per hour (dependent on experience)
