Job description

Smile Education Northwest are delighted to be working alongside a thriving school based in south Manchester in the recruitment of sport science graduates.

This exciting role is ideal for sports graduates who are considering going into education. The successful applicants will be working alongside pupils from Year 7- 11 delivering pre-planned lesson content and supporting pupils through coaching. This is a hands-on role where you can assist established class-teachers in planning delivering a wide range sports lessons to mixed groups of students. Allowing yourself to gain excellent experience before committing to a teacher training route.

This role is ideal for recent graduates from a sports related degree, such as sports science, sport psychology or even related courses such as physical therapy. Applicants will be provided with training through Smile Education, including safeguarding training, using our graduate academy- learn to teach scheme. Successful applicants will be working with a school based within the south area of Manchester, within proximity to Trafford and Longsight. The expected salary range for this role is £85-100 per day, depending on experience.

What to expect from applicants?

We would like applicants to be recent graduates, having graduated from 2022. Applicants must be graduates from a sports related course such as sports science, or sports psychology. Applicants from related courses such as physical therapy or applicants with considering background in coaching will also be considered.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:

- Be a recent graduate (graduating from 2022 onwards)


- Be a graduate from a sports related course or have considerable experience in a related field such as coaching.


- A genuine and real interest in working with children or pursuing a career within the education sector.


- A positive attitude and driven nature
