We're currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Assistant to join the team across sites in Surrey.
IMPORTANT INFO - The hours of work will be 40 per week but the main hours needed to be covered are 3pm - 8pm - you can add the additional 3 hours a day before or after these.
Y ou will be working to ensure the upkeep of each site is completed to a high standard and within legal requirements.
Your key duties:
- Ensure all buildings are fit for purpose and maintained
- Carry out regular planned maintenance inspection on services, utilities and the building fabric throughout 3 sites
- Report findings and take necessary actions.
- Respond to and action maintenance requests
- Organise and carry out the collection and movement of furniture and equipment
- Ensure all fire and safety equipment and systems are functional and s upport the Annual Fire Risk Assessment
- Carry out monthly vehicle check audits and report any concerns.
- Ensure the safe storage of tools and equipment, as well as safe storage of materials, paints etc. in accordance with manufacturers instructions
- Maintain the grounds
You will need:
- Flexibility
- Understanding and ability to comply to Legislation and Regulations relating to all aspects of site management e.g. to fire, health and safety, Legionella, asbestos, security, COSHH and Safeguarding
- To be competent at basic building repairs and maintenance and grounds maintenance
- Skills in the use of a computerised system as all activities are documented through this
- Knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations.
- A customer service and problem solving approach
