Job description
A great opportunity for a Divisional Accounting Manager has arisen to join a FTSE 100 Listed business based in Hounslow. This role offers excellent progression opportunities and hybrid working options.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the effective and compliant delivery of General Accounting tasks and activities to operating companies in own scope, such as period end close activities, reconciliations, analysis, posting adjustment entries, answering audit queries, KPI reporting etc.
- Review and ensure accuracy and completeness of General Accounting transactions and activities delivered by own team.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Finance teams and other internal and external parties by gaining an understanding of how the diverse businesses function.
- Provide a high level of customer service to business partners and internal customers.
- Develop effectiveness of the team through continuous training and development, and lead and motivate to achieve high levels of performance.
- Deputise and provide support to other Senior Accountants as required.
- Liaise with external and internal auditors as required for the year-end close and audit processes.
- Contribute to the development of internal controls for General Accounting – challenge assumptions appropriately and collaboratively.
- Build a solid understanding of internal control design and operational efficiency within the team and ensure ongoing compliance.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant ACA / ACCA / ACMA
- Previous Team management experience
- Experience of designing, implementing, and operating robust financial controls.
- Proven experience in delivering and evaluating post-transformational change.
- Strong Knowledge of ERP systems environment
