Job description
Daniel Owen are pleased to be working with a large key player within the south for all things vehicle servicing, based in Salisbury, Wiltshire we are looking for Workshop Managers/Controllers to join and oversee a team of experienced and motivated technicians.
Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities within the automotive workshop. - Develop and implement efficient workflow processes to optimize productivity and meet service deadlines.
- Oversee vehicle diagnosis, repair, and maintenance processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of automotive technicians and support staff. - Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for skill development.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and continuous improvement.
Customer Service:
Interact with customers to understand their automotive service needs and provide clear explanations of required repairs and associated costs. - Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Implement customer service initiatives to enhance the overall customer experience.
Quality Assurance:
Enforce quality control measures to ensure all automotive repairs meet or exceed industry standards. - Implement and monitor safety protocols to create a secure working environment for both employees and customers.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Automotive Workshop Manager or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Customer-focused mindset with effective communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with automotive industry trends and technologies.
- Technical background in automotive repair is preferred.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive management or a related field.
