About the role
As a Manufacturing Accountant you will be responsible for providing accurate product costs to the business and for producing clear financial information for the purpose of financial management and control.
Including:
⚡ Develop, implement and review controls to drive accurate and timely decision-making information, accounting and reporting for the Operations P&L, Balance Sheet & Cash-flow
⚡ Lead KPIs, month-end reporting, forecasting and budgeting in accordance with agreed business timescales for the Operations P&L
⚡ Identify, mitigate and escalate risks and opportunities as appropriate
⚡ Business case preparation (eg new products, make vs buy, capital investment)
⚡ Liaise with Geely Commercial Vehicles to determine optimum production strategy between China and the UK
⚡ Cash flow and working capital (particularly stock) forecasting
⚡ Present accurate and relevant financial information to Cost-Down Steering Group, Functional Reviews and ad-hoc meetings as required
Experience to succeed
⚡ Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent experience within manufacturing/automotive industry
⚡ Business-partnering experience - able to collaborate and build relationships with various stakeholders across the business
⚡ IT & Finance system experience with advanced Excel skills
⚡ Excellent organisational and communication skills
⚡ Methodical in approach to tasks and can prioritise accordingly
⚡ Process-driven and attention to detail, as well as able to show flexibility and tenacity in problem-solving
⚡ Experienced supporting a sizeable, fast-moving business
⚡ Experience with automotive manufacturing or EVs is a bonus
