About your team
The Brokerage Product Team plays a key role in delivering the Stockbroking strategy to our customers who invest with us directly or via an adviser. The team is responsible for maintaining and developing a market leading, competitive, compliant and efficient proposition for the UK business. We support the overall growth of the stockbroking proposition, working with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure the customer and regulatory requirements and needs are met.
About your role
Reporting to the Head of Product Management and Development, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of all Brokerage related initiatives. You will be expected to support the overall growth of the stockbroking proposition, working with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure the brokerage requirements and needs are met for all our customers.
You will be the lead Product Owner for large scale initiatives and strategic projects and work very closely with stakeholders to define and deliver solutions in a cost effective, efficient, and timely manner.
You will work closely with the Product Teams, Brokerage Capability Team, Investor Servicing, GPS Technology, Business Change, Client Services, Marketing, Legal & Compliance, Market Data, and Analytics Teams to name a few.
You will collaborate to identify solutions for enhancing the brokerage service to our customers and lead the prioritization and delivery efforts to bring them to fruition.
Key Responsibilities
You will lead collaboration efforts with internal and external parties to design innovative, market leading solutions for our customers.
You will own the brokerage product backlog regularly reviewing, specifying the items within the backlog and ensuring that they are well defined, prioritised and estimated.
You will support, and in some cases lead, the design, development and launch of solutions for projects such as, UK Govt Gilts and Corporate bonds, International Dealing/Multicurrency, IPOs (Initial Public Offerings) and Limit Order enhancements.
You will be responsible for liaising with third parties such as WBS, Broadridge, ETF Providers, Investment Trust Providers, Market Makers (RSPs), and many others.
You will be responsible for defining and delivering propositional enhancements for the Broadridge shareholder rights and Designated Brokerage services.
You will be involved in the overall growth of the broader stockbroking proposition and strategy.
You will support with the ongoing delivery of new brokerage assets on the retail platform.
You will be responsible for the relationship with Morningstar in relation to the online retail factsheets
You will co-chair the monthly Order Execution Group meetings, ensuring accurate minutes are taken and shared with the committee and relevant stakeholders.
You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely brokerage MI to various stakeholders across the business every month and on an ad-hoc basis.
You will also be responsible for automating and improving the brokerage MI where possible
Drive staff engagement and embed a customer focused culture
About you
Stockbroking experience is essential with a strong knowledge of direct securities.
Strong understanding of the stockbroking competitive landscape
An understanding of the commercial drivers for platform business and/or individual product lines
Client centric in all aspects of product development
A natural self-starter with an appetite for the work, intensity and challenges presented by Fidelity’s UK growth and the developing business
A team player, who is willing to set an example and help colleagues get the job done working as a team
The ability to liaise with internal customers in a proactive and challenging manner.
Strong leadership experience, with proven ability to lead cross location teams and a track record of developing talent and diverse teams in a matrix structure.
A core understanding of the technology and operational elements required to deliver change ideally using Agile methodology.
Excellent at being innovative but also collaborative in approach
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good time management skills. Can prioritise own work and others to meet tight deadlines
Strong influencing and negotiating skills, with the ability to communicate and manage senior stakeholders up to and including SLT/ExCo members.
Desirable Skills
Strong knowledge investment funds and related products
Retail Platform experience; D2C or Advised/IFA.
