Estimator

Reading (Hybrid)

Up to £50,000 + Excellent Progression + Company Car + Hybrid Working

This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator to join a well-established, well respected, and forward-thinking company. Within this position, you will play a key role in building and growing a new department within the business.

Are you looking for a varied role within an industry-leading company? Do you have estimating experience from a landscape or groundworks background? Are you happy to travel to sites?

This business are an industry leading specialist and sports pitch construction company, primarily focussing on the installation of all types of sports and athletic facilities throughout the UK. The business is now looking for diversify their portfolio of offered services into the Commercial Landscape and Business Park sectors. As a result, this has created an opportunity for a candidate from a transferrable estimating background to assist in building the department through facilitating the onboarding of more projects.

Within this role, you will be reporting to the Senior Estimator and Estimating Director and assisting the estimating team with all aspects of tendering.

The ideal candidate will have some estimating experience from a landscaping or groundworks background and be looking for a varied role with progression. Ideal candidate will also be comfortable working a hybrid role split between home and office working, and site visits across the South and Midlands.

The Role:

• Reporting to Senior Estimator and Estimating Director.
• Compiling scopes of work from client briefs.
• Assist with tendering.
• Compile estimates of true costs and present them to estimating and sales teams.
• Site visits circa once per week either in South or Central England.
• Excellent progression and training opportunities.
• Company car and car allowance.

The Person:

• Estimator experience from a transferrable industry, i.e., commercial/hard/soft landscaping or groundworks.
• Experience working to scale drawings.
• Relevant industry accreditations desirable but not essential.
• Experience with estimating software desirable.
• Looking to work for an exciting company with lots of room to progress.
• Full driving licence.
