SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: England, Greater London, Wandsworth

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Salary: £80 - £95 Per day

We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a minimum of one year experience to join our team in Wandsworth, Greater London. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with challenging behaviour.

Job Duties:

• Supporting the class teacher in implementing individual education plans for students with special educational needs
• Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support
• Providing one-to-one support to students as required
• Helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Communicating effectively with students, teachers, and parents

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant
• Relevant qualifications in education or child development
• Strong understanding of special educational needs and inclusive education practises

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
• Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional training in behaviour management or special educational needs
• First Aid certification

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
