Position Summary:
Thermo Fisher Scientific have an excellent opportunity for an individual to join the External Reporting Team in Paisley! This is an exciting opportunity to work in an expanding Global Business Service Centre which offers great career development and opportunities. The successful candidate will be a key team member working alongside a colleague to ensure accurate reporting.
What will you do?
- Preparation of statutory financial statements for a number of Global legal entities
- Support the completion of a number of statutory audits reported through the Centre of Excellence team ensuring adherence to the external reporting timetable
- Complete/coordinate local statistical reporting requirements set by authorities
- Preparation of annual board packs and report financial performance to stakeholders
- Engage with external advisers to ensure corporate tax returns are completed, reviewed and filed on time.
- Working cross functionally with the other finance and non-finance teams based both on site and remotely
Who we are looking for:
- Part-qualified professional accounting qualified (CA, ACCA or CIMA)
- An individual with a passion, commitment and desire to succeed. Highly motivated and detail oriented with excellent communication, stakeholder management skills, computer and organisational skills
- Someone who flourishes working with people to find innovative new solutions
- Previous experience in a large-scale organisation would be beneficial
- Experience of statutory reporting, management accounting, balance sheet
- reconciliations
- Prior exposure to tax returns & year-end reporting would be advantageous
- Ability to prioritise and follow through in a fast-paced, multitask environment
- Ability to work well under time constraints
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Working knowledge of ERPs (E1 or SAP) (Desired but not essential)
