If yes, we have an exciting opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client in Cambridge!
Role: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias)
Shift Pattern: 28-day cycle, offering variety and challenge
Salary: £57,000
Location: Cambridge
Responsibilities Include:
- Maintenance of PPM system, minimising downtime.
- Root cause analysis and continuous improvement (CI) initiatives.
- Prompt resolution of equipment breakdowns.
- Management of spare parts inventory.
- Accurate completion of all documentation.
- Possible travel to sites, suppliers, or exhibitions.
- Adherence to safety protocols, potentially involving heights or confined spaces.
- Training for minor maintenance tasks.
Key Accountabilities:
- Maintain plant and building performance at 100%.
- Plan and complete tasks efficiently.
- Support cross-departmental communication and collaboration with wider Engineering team.
- Serve as a role model for apprentices and production operatives.
- Execute planned maintenance tasks diligently.
Your Background:
Education: HND/HNC preferable, with relevant engineering qualifications (Electrical ideal)
Experience: 5+ years in manufacturing facilities, FMCG operations experience preferred.
Your Key Skills:
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding.
- PLC and automation troubleshooting.
- Maintenance design and improvement.
- Root cause analysis.
- Instrumentation installation and calibration.
- Proficiency in relevant equipment and systems maintenance.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
