Job description
As the CFM Mechanical/HVAC Engineer, you will plan, manage and implement the delivery of Facilities Maintenance services to our Data Centers ensuring operational performance is always maintained to the highest possible standards. Working within the Mechanical Engineering Team, you will provide support, expertise and preventative maintenance suggestions of power generators, chilled water and HVAC systems amongst others, to the business to ensure the successful and efficient operation of NTT’s Data Center estate.
Your Responsibilties
- Responsibility for maintaining a high standard of planned preventative and reactive maintenance
- Responsibility for repairing a large variety of critical AC and refrigeration equipment - Split DX, VRV’s, CRAC, CRAH, Heat Pumps
- Proactive involvement in the on-going technical evaluation of all plant and equipment, suggestion of improvements where appropriate
- Accurate recording and reporting of maintenance activities to ensure information is correct
- Active involvement in the mechanical MOPs/SOPs/EOPs
- Working as directed to ensure timely completion of PPM’s and reactive
- Identifying faults and accurately diagnosing root causes
- Monitoring and maintaining equipment performance to ensure correct operation of the critical services for the Data Center
- Responsible for the F-Gas and TM44
- Responsible for supporting site inspections and audits
- Supervising all operational and maintenance activities for sub-contractors
- Supporting the Shift Engineering Team to ensure correct operation of the critical services of the Data Centers
Your Profile
- NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Equivalent (Minimum) in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (Essential)
- City & Guilds Safe Handling of Refrigerants 2079/2089 (Cat 1) (Essential)
- 5 + years’ experience as an HVAC technician (Essential)
- Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating (Desirable)
- Demonstrable knowledge of water hygiene treatment regimes in line with L8/HSG274 (Desirable)
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- General understanding of Data Center critical services
- Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice
- To possess a clean full UK driving licence
- To undergo full security checks to BS7858:2019
