Job description

We are seeking passionate, motivated, hard working and experienced care workers to join our team as a Senior Residential Support Workers in our children's home. We work with children and young people who may have experienced childhood trauma.

Essential: Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
Essential: Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Residential Childcare
Essential: More than 12 months experience within children care sector
Desirable: Knowledge of Children's Home Regulations
Strong Written & IT skills
Leadership skills
Able to work well within a team
The residential care team are the heart of the home and are responsible for providing support and care to the children & young people whilst they are in our home.

The role includes assisting the Home Manager with daily tasks such as; reporting & recording, monitoring, following individual care plans and prioritising the well being and safeguarding of our children and young people. You will be required to help lead and develop the team and to set an example to others.

The role includes supporting with education, taking part in activities, daily household tasks including cleaning & cooking, attending meetings with a range of professionals and continuous on-the-job training and development.

Responsibilities

Provide support & care to our children & young people
Provide support & guidance to the staff team
Ensure safeguarding is always maintained
Work within the company policies and procedures
Work within legislation
Complete mandatory training & support other staff in training & development
Successful applicants will only be given a formal offer once satisfactory DBS and references are received.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £14.50-£14.95 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 37.5 per week
