Drainage Engineer – Immediate Start
Crawley Area (working in post code areas SE, CR, SW1, SW16...)
Permanent Employment – Monday to Friday
£28,000 - £32,000 (DOE) + company van + over time + monthly commission

My client is a company that specialises in complete drainage services to corporate clients managing domestic and small commercial drainage failures. The company provides a quick and competitively priced response to their clients’ needs whether it be a simple blockage, a drain collapse or a burst water pipe. The Role
The main purpose of the role is to cover all emergency related drainage issues in domestic & commercial properties. This role would suit somebody already experienced as a reactive Drainage Engineer, who has excavations work experience, to perform dig ups and repairs work (patching and lining) with the desire to expand on their existing skill set.
This is a full time, Monday to Friday position – permanently employed through the company.
You will be given a fully expensed company vehicle and will drive (from home) to client sites, daily
Responsibilities
- Being a trusted employee for all emergency, preventative maintenance, and remedial work requirements for commercial and domestic clients
- Resolving blockages
- High pressure water jetting to be carried out.
- CCTV camera inspections and surveys
- Drainage excavations work, and repairs - experience in patching, lining and reinstatement works
- Be able to reassure the customer of what works will be required and explain what works have been carried out to resolve the issues.
- Document works.
- You will be required to cover out of hours and weekends on a rota basis.
The Requirements
- Hold a current UK Driving licence – no more than 6 penalty points due to company insurance policy
- Good positive attitude to work – regardless of time of day or weather conditions.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills – delivering world class service.
- Drainage in date tickets would be highly desirable – High pressure water jetting. Confined Spaces…if expired the company would put you through the course at their expense.
- Skills such as patch repairs and lining would be a great advantage
- Plumbing experience would be a huge advantage – removal of brassware items – taps etc…, and sanatory items if needed – toilets, basins.
- Always adhere to H&S.
- Able to work on your own initiative, meet deadlines and hit targets.
- Able to work in an organised and tidy manner.

- The company are willing to pay a competitive starting salary of from £28,000 - £32,000 (depending on experience)
