I am delighted to be representing an industry-leading renewable energy company as they build their procurement team. They have recently been awarded a large-scale project and need a driven and ambitious individual to manage the project\'s procurement. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference within the company and create and run your own procurement team.
This is a permanent, full-time role.
Your new role As procurement manager, you will be responsible for:
- Implementing strategic procurement processes throughout the company
- Direct and indirect procurement
- Working alongside the Chief Buyer to ensure proper procurement protocols are followed in all teams
- Consolidating existing suppliers and vendors
- Sourcing and onboarding new suppliers
- Contract management
- Travelling to offshore sites to oversee procurement processes
What you\'ll need to succeed The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Extensive procurement experience, preferably with setting up/improving upon a procurement function
- MCIPS qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in renewable energy or engineering sectors
- The ability to take initiative and work autonomously
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
