About Our Client
A charity in Loughborough are now recruiting for a HR Advisor. They pride themselves on making a difference and offering care to the community.
As the HR Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert advice on general HR and People matters, with a strong focus on recruitment and promoting Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) across all our activities. You'll be at the forefront of ensuring that we maintain a supportive and respectful work environment for all.
Job Description
- Be the go-to person for employee relations, handling matters such as conduct, capability, and grievances.
- Advise and guide managers through employee relations cases, including investigations and hearings.
- Compile and analyse data for reports, including disciplinary and sickness absence reviews.
- Provide coaching on HR management, employment law, and statutory requirements.
- Interpret and advise on HR policies and ensure consistent implementation.
- Support HR policy reviews and recommend changes when necessary.
- Encourage open and honest staff engagement.
- Maintain HR systems and data in compliance with data protection regulations.
- Monitor sickness absence and support interventions for staff well-being.
- Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to line managers.
- Develop positive relationships with staff and management.
- Deliver HR training programs and raise awareness of HR issues.
- Assist with HR systems for employee activities.
- Support performance reviews and manager coaching.
- Stay updated on employment legislation and HR best practices.
Recruitment - Advise managers on best practices for recruitment, including job descriptions and person specifications.
- Participate in candidate shortlisting and represent HR during the selection process.
- Provide guidance on job design, recruitment, and on-boarding.
- Ensure fair and consistent recruitment processes.
- Manage applicant tracking systems and review campaign results.
- Oversee advertising media relationships and budgets.
- Promote job opportunities through various channels.
- Record, analyse, and report on advertising statistics.
- Assist with the development and delivery of induction processes.
- Attend local networking and recruitment events.
- Provide proactive advice and support on EDI and well-being.
- Promote and support EDI initiatives across the organisation.
- Assist with EDI training programs for all staff.
- Develop and execute plans to engage employees in EDI programs.
- Stay updated on external trends and best practices.
- Act as an internal expert and advocate for EDI issues.
- Promote inclusive language in job descriptions and advertisements.
- Contribute to developing an inclusive employer brand.
