Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a fast-paced manufacturing business based in Mansfield to recruit an Engineering Manager.

Reporting to the Vice President, the Engineering Manager will oversee the function of the Engineering Department, responsible for a team of six engineers, covering over a 3-shift pattern including days, nights and afters.
Duties & responsibilities of the Engineering Manager include:
- Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of machines, high speed automation and associated ancillary plant and equipment
- Partner with suppliers to research and submit recommendations for equipment and plant system purchases
- Direct and coordinate design, manufacture and installation activities
- Maintain qualified engineering and maintenance staff to support manufacturing and capital initiatives
- Promote personal and professional development
- Work closely between safety and operations to ensure timely efforts are made to support daily plant needs
- Align programs and resources to increase reliability and production efficiencies
- Build and leverage positive, cross-functional relationships to address identified gaps and implement best practices
- Lead change initiatives by developing and implementing effective communication and training programs
- Align engineering, maintenance, reliability, and technology initiatives with the plant’s overall objectives
- Management of multiple projects all of which may be in different stages of development or implementation
- Perform complex engineering and statistical calculations to solve operating issues and optimise production processes
- Administer the plant’s environmental programs including permitting and adherence to legislation and local regulations
- Ensure the health, safety and welfare of the company’s employees, visitors, and customers
- Overall direction and delivery of the engineering strategy through effective team management, to ensure continuous improvement in reliability of plant and equipment across all areas
- Set up and manage maintenance and service contracts where applicable
We would like to speak with Maintenance Managers or Engineering Managers with the following:
- Degree Qualified in Mechanical or Electrical or both
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Manufacturing electrical and or mechanical experience
- Experience in Environmental and Process Safety Management
- Strong engineering background ideally time served engineer,
- Experience in Health and Safety practices, NEBOSH, IOSH etc
- Requires knowledge and ability to drive Reliability by applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma concepts
- Knowledge of Engineering based software / Microsoft Office / Experience with Problem Solving and Resolution Tools
