Electrical Commissioning Engineer - Building Services

Birmingham

Do you come from an Electrical Engineering background in the Building Services sector and want to widen your skillset by joining a leading Renewable Energy and Sustainable Buildings business that is able to offer both continuous development support and autonomy in your day-to-day role?

This company specialises in the construction, installation, maintenance and management of oil, gas and renewable energy systems to clients particularly in the commercial marketplace. They are also heavily involved in delivering Building Services projects, and are looking to expand their team of staff based out of their new offices in Birmingham that'll tie into their expansion across the UK.

In this role you will be involved in the design, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for electrical plant and BMS across the company's projects in predominantly commercial and leisure facilities in the Birmingham area.

The ideal candidate will come from an Electrical Design or Commissioning background in the Building Services, HVAC or FM disciplines. They will also need to have training on at least one type of BMS such as Tridium, Trend, Schneider or Satchwell.

The role:
* Working alongside Design & Project Engineering teams to monitor project progress & specs
* Testing of electrical installations to ensure proper working, and to identify & correct issues
* Troubleshooting issues and malfunctions, and delivering resolutions
* Inspecting & verifying installations to ensure compliance with standards, codes and specifications
* Producing commissioning reports that document procedures, test results & modifications
* Running training sessions for internal staff and customers in preparation for handover
* Supporting with overall handover process

The person
* Electrical Engineering background in Building Services/HVAC/MEP/Renewable Energy sectors
* Previous experience with design and/or commissioning activities
* Knowledge of BMS
* Relevant qualifications such as 18th Edition, NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND or Degree
* Full UK driving license
