Job Title: Disability and Wellbeing Consultant
Location: Islington, London (Hybrid)
Contract Type: 3-month Contract
Hourly Rate: £30/hr

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Disability and Wellbeing Consultant at the local authority in Islington.
Responsibilities:
- Actively network with internal key stakeholders such as the Disabled Staff Forum, developing effective working relationships and establishing positive lines of communication with a solution-focused approach.
- Oversee the annual programme of events to raise awareness of disability and long-term health conditions, linked to support for staff and managers.
- Promote Islington's CARE values and an inclusive workplace culture, sharing expertise, good practice, and relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Lead logistics and delivery of processes for workplace adjustments, working alongside internal partners such as Health & Safety, Digital Services, and Facilities to establish consistent communication and coordination of resources.
- Lead on individual case management, including investigating and resolving complex cases at the earliest point, preventing escalation of needs, and learning from internal and external cases.
- Triage and coordinate end-to-end support for staff requiring workplace adjustments, including organising, registering, and governing equipment allocated to staff.
- Develop improved recruitment and selection policies and guidance, ensuring that the process is fair, accessible, and appropriately supports staff with disabilities needs to apply for roles.
Requirements:
- Experience of providing professional and confidential one-to-one advice and strategies for support to service users to improve their outcomes. ( Assessed by Application/Interview )
- Experience of leading a change programme by coordinating and engaging with internal partners, including senior leadership teams and external organisations and bodies. ( Assessed by Application/Interview )
- Experience of leading a project, monitoring actions, evidencing clear outcomes, and communicating progress to key stakeholders within appropriate timescales. ( Assessed by Application/Interview )
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in using MS Office package, including presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex legislative and/or regulatory
