Management of warehouse team performing packing and despatch duties in a fast-moving environment.
- Ensuring inventory transactions are completed in a timely manner, maintaining stock accuracy to the highest levels.
- Ensure direct reports and visitors to the site adhere to Company H&S processes, procedures and principles.
- Supervise and action the packing and despatch of all materials for shipment by third party or in-house transport.
- Ensure installation packages are available for collection by install teams at the required time
- Coordinate the scheduling and collection of consignments by collect customers.
- Supervise and coordinate the accurate and timely receipt of all materials from suppliers
- Supervise the unloading of fabricated doors and glass, coordinating the onward loading as directed by project Managers and installers.
- Manage the waste streams for the site in line with our ISO 14001 procedures
- Ensure that all shipping records are completed accurately to provide high levels of database integrity
- Ensure Project Managers and Hubs are aware of ALL projects shipping/Collected from Coleshill daily
- Update the Record Direct team with delivery information of all supply only projects being shipped in a timely manner
- Coordinate and supervise all physical inventory and van stock counts as directed by management with high levels of accuracy and integrity
- Ensure that you work in accordance with 5S principles to ensure that the stores and bulk stores areas are clean, tidy, organised and controlled
- You may be required to undertake tasks outside of those detailed above as directed by the Management team.
Essential Criteria
- Previous management experience in a warehouse / shipping operation
- Experienced in using inventory management systems
- Strong understanding of inventory control procedures
- Willing to step in to cover warehouse activities when short staffed
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of working with cross site teams
- IOSH managing Safety certified
- Worked in a lean, continuous improvement environment
- Transport management and route planning experience
Additional Information
Hours: 40 hours per week.
Holidays: 33 days Approximately minimal travel required
