Job description
Mechanical Engineer:
My Client is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work on a static site in the City of London. This role would be Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Fault finding on mechanical equipment
- Ensuring that all plant, equipment, office and operational areas are kept in a clean, tidy and serviceable state
- Help to keep the breakout facilities clean and tidy
- Issue and ensure appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems.
- Carry out PPMs on all M&E tasks
- Ensure that cooling/heating Systems and domestic water systems are maintained to comply with the requirements of the L8 standard.
- Carry out tasks for all M&E remedial works
- Ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised, and comply with contractual commitments, and site operating processes.
- Respond to Building Management System alarms (BMS), and effect emergency repairs as needed.
- Provide concise reports to line management and Service Desk where necessary
- Carry out PPM's on FCU's, pumps, pressurisation units, calorifiers and AHU's
- Ensure regular communication with service coordinators, supervisors, contract managers and where necessary client representatives at all times.
- Carry out plumbing repairs and PPMs
- Carry out mechanical repairs and PPMs
- Adhere to and comply with procedures, policies and standards at all times.
- Work on the sprinkler system
- Ensure all work undertaken is in accordance with risk assessments, and method statements
- Where necessary write dynamic risk assessments
- Perform lift entertainment duties once trained
- Completion of company documentation in its entirety and in a timely manner
- Maintain the professional representation of the company's technical and ethical standards
- Work in a safe manner with due regard to the environment and the safety of others
- Comply with legislative requirements
- Operates PDA in conjunction with latest training and instruction.

- Loads of overtime available
- On Call - 1 in 8 call out over the weekend (Friday to Monday only) £50 standby for the weekend

- NVQ Engineering Maintenance Parts 2 & 3 (1788)
- City & Guilds Mechanical Maintenance Parts 2 & 3
- Technical Building Services Engineering Parts 2 & 3
- NVQ Level 2 & 3 Plumbing
- Mechanical Apprenticeship
Salary: £40,000 - £43,000
