Smile Education are proudly supporting a devoted and welcoming SEN school nestled in Wolverhampton.

Our partner school is in search of a dedicated Learning Mentor to provide invaluable support to a child with complex learning difficulties in their primary sector. The role demands extensive 1:1 assistance and emphasises the establishment of a strong, nurturing connection with the student.

The child in question requires personalised attention due to challenges in emotional regulation, directly impacting their focus during lessons. We seek an individual with patience, a nurturing disposition, and prior experience working with Specific Learning Difficulties (SLD) or complex needs. This is a full-time position, urgently requiring someone able to commence as soon as possible. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of a level 2 or level 3 qualification in a relevant subject and demonstrate a commitment to a long-term engagement.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with SLD or complex needs
• Patience and a nurturing approach
• Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject
