Operations Manager

The Operations Manager will manage all operational responsibilities from receipt of purchase order to dispatch, aligning deliverables with the business plan objectives.
The Operations Manager will have to:
- Ensure all staff and visitors operate within safety procedures
- Ensure all customers are at the centre of all thinking resulting in a shared attitude of customer first
- Manage the planning, engineering, quality control, supply chain, maintenance, customer services and project management to ensure OTIF is met
- Ensure the efficient and smooth running of the operational facility
- Ensure adherence to the production plan
- Apply continuous improvement techniques and adherence to Quality systems
- Ensure 5S and LEAN manufacturing methods are developed and maintained to enable optimum process flow
- Ensure a robust and effective NPI production process is maintained
- Optimise shift performance
- Promote and uphold company performance standards
- Lead and coach the operational team
The ideal Operations Manager will have:
- Qualified to degree level ideally engineering biased
- Proven project and people management experience in an engineering production environment
- Detailed knowledge of the production processes and capabilities of machinery and personnel
- Understanding of general finance, budgeting including ‘P&L’ and balance sheet and cash flow management
- Working understanding of Production Planning & Scheduling, Procurement and Quality Management Systems
- Ability to build a high-performance team who can operate efficiently, effectively, productively and cost effectively.
This role will suit a senior manager/ leader who is able to get things done and make things happen to achieve the aims of production and the business
Hours are 7.30am- 4pm Monday to Thursday and 7am – 1pm on a Friday.
