The Role

As a Leakage Technician, you will identify, locate and report both visible and concealed leaks within the Southeast Water Network. You will be working outside using a combination of traditional and electronic leak detection equipment to identify water main connections and taking noise samples using electronic equipment. ( full training will be provided).

This is a permanent role working 40 hours per week and you will be carrying out the following duties:

• Record data using detection
• Downloading the data to pinpoint areas of interest.
• Liaising with internal departments and external providers
• Keeping records up to date.
• You will be working in all weather conditions and lifting heavy manhole covers.
• Follow health and safety procedures and monitoring the safety of your team

The Requirements

• Able to follow instructions
• Willing and able to work in all weather
• Physically able to undertake all duties required (lifting/carrying etc).
• An understanding of Water Supply and Leakage would be an advantage, but training will be given.
• Commitment to working safely with good health and safety
• Ability to manage and prioritise workload.
• Basic written, verbal, numerical and IT/systems literate.
• EUSR hygiene certificate, Street works and Confined Spaces qualifications are an advantage but not essential.
• Full UK driving
