About the Position

The City has several excellent opportunities for dynamic andexperienced ICT professionals to help deliver our technologyprojects within the City. Reporting to the Lead Business Analyst,the Business Analysts will be expected to bridge the gap betweentechnology and business by using robust analytical methodologies toassess processes, determine business requirements and deliverrecommendations for projects. You will need excellentinterpersonal skills as this role requires interaction withstakeholders and collaborative working practices to ensuresuccessful outcomes. 

This position is a full-time, maximum term contract until 31August 2024, with the likelihood of extension beyond this date.

Key Responsibilities

The duties of the Business Analyst will include but are notlimited to:

• Determine operational objectives by studying businessfunctions; gathering information; evaluating outputrequirements and formats.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships with business and ITstakeholders to assist business units define their requirementsand understand the technology impacts in all areas of theirbusiness.
• Provide a point of contact for project stakeholdersrelating to the delivery of business analysis activities foroperational and capital projects and all other ISinteractions.
• Proactively develop business cases and implementationplans, for business process reviews, including the coordinationof key stakeholders and associated business officers.
• Devise and document general business requirements.
• Conduct comprehensive business analysis atuser/process/system interaction level.
• Review and assess current state processes.
• Design and implement future state solutions includingbusiness rules, procedures and policies.
• Develop business process maps for ‘as is’ and‘to be’ states.
• Assist with change projects brought about by processanalysis.

About You

• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Computer Science,Business, Education, Business/Administration, InformationSystems, Technical, Information Technology, Finance,Accounting, or Engineering
• 5 years' experience in complex technical and applicationimplementations, and/or systems development.
• Proven experience in business analysis, Gather, Review, andAnalyze Data: andsystem testing.
• Analysis experience of TechnologyOne ERP would be highlyregarded.
• Experience in projects following project managementmethodologies such as Prince2 and Agile will be an addedadvantage.
• Experience in ERP Upgrades, Data Migrations andIntegrations will be well regarded.

This Maximum Term Contract position is a Level 8 InsideWorkforce Agreement position which will attract a competitivesalary plus generous superannuation.
