Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a car or van for the purpose of transporting goods and/or passengers.
- Plan and follow designated routes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of cargo or transportation of passengers.
- Comply with all company policies and highway regulations, maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
- Ensure timely collection and delivery of goods as outlined by the client and/or company.
- Inspect and maintain vehicle cleanliness, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Keep detailed records of each trip, including mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition.
- Handle any necessary paperwork or documentation associated with the transportation process.
- Provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating a courteous and friendly attitude towards clients and passengers.
- Adhere to strict deadlines and schedules, ensuring punctuality and reliability.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods, if required.
Qualifications:
- Valid UK driving license, preferably with categories B and C1.
- Proven experience as a Car/Van Driver, preferably within a commercial or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of local road networks and routes in Elgin.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Strong sense of responsibility and adherence to safety protocols.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading duties, if necessary.
