WSP Middle East is currently seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Advisor Hydrogen and CCUS with a background in Hydrogen and CCUS projects. WSP welcomes applications for part-time and flexible working and would be happy to discuss potential options with you as part of your application.
Your new role, what's involved?
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise on Hydrogen and CCUS projects across various aspects such as technology assessment, economic analysis, policy development, and strategic planning.
- Provide execution oversight of advisory consulting Hydrogen and CCUS projects to ensure delivery to the customers upholding advisory quality and brand requirements.
- Develop and enhance our Hydrogen and CCUS advisory services by creating go to market strategies and business development plans that align with organization’s mission and goals.
- Support the energy advisory team in developing the Hydrogen and CCUS techno-commercial proposals and resourcing.
- Lead and manage business development activities in GCC region across hydrogen value chain including production, storage, distribution and utilization as well as carbon capture, storage and utilization.
- Provide inputs and support for strategic market communications and actively engage in creating thought leadership.
- Identify and monitor developments relevant to hydrogen and CCUS value chains and develop strategic insights for the energy advisory team and the leadership.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored advice on hydrogen and CCUS technologies/ solutions.
- Work closely with internal teams, industry groups, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to promote the adoption of hydrogen and CCUS technologies within the GCC region.
- Develop strategic thought leadership articles, white papers for Hydrogen to support advisory brand positioning in this market.
- Coordinate and collaborate with WSP advisory Consulting business leaders, global engineering and technology leads and SMEs.
- Support and facilitate a WSP culture of customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop Energy Advisory Services capability for Hydrogen and CCUS that includes training and development of energy advisory team, developing standard technical delivery frameworks, support growth and development of project execution capability, etc.

- Ensuring we evolve and provide the latest services that our clients need will allow us to engage, advise, predict, adapt, and lead the evolution to the energy industry
- Measurable growth in the Hydrogen and CCUS advisory business across the Middle East
- Increase in winning proposals for Hydrogen and CCUS projects.
- Number of new client relationships established.
- Reporting to Energy Advisory Leader
- Coordination with Environmental and Sustainability team and multidisciplinary teams
- Energy forums and industry key stakeholders to ensure I keep up to date with the latest key topics and trends
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering and/or economics. PhD or other post-graduate qualifications in relevant field is a Plus.
- Experience in working at executive / C suite / C-1 ‘where negotiating B2B / G2B business opportunities.
- Proven experience in energy analysis or the energy sector, directly related to hydrogen and/or CCUS.
- Deep knowledge of technologies and processes across the hydrogen, hydrogen derivatives and CCUS value chains, and corresponding economics.
- Ability to set the strategic direction on policy issues related to hydrogen and CCUS, taking account of wider objectives and stakeholder interests.
- Experience with renowned advisory consulting firms with demonstrated capability to grow an advisory business will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with GCC energy markets, enabling policies, credits and incentives.
- Deep analytical skills and ability to synthesize disparate sources of information to communicate key messages for executive audiences.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with a broad range of technical and commercial collaborators both internally and externally.
- Accomplished interpersonal and team working skills.
- Proactive attitude and the ability to take initiative
