The Opportunity

We are inviting applications for the position of Corporate Account Manager - Wealth and Protection to join our well-established Provider Sales team. You will be part of a team that brings data to life and creates insight and actionable understanding to the UK financial services industry. Help Defaqto further develop its reputation for helping its clients win more business and retain the business it already has through the use of our marketing solutions.

In this role, you will be supporting our clients with a broad range of insights: with their product design and management, monitoring of competitors, their understanding of financial advisors and their needs, ensuring good product governance and the marketing of products. These activities are all made much easier by our customers investing in our solutions. This is a commercial role that will see your working closely with the largest institutions in the UK.

This role can be remote, hybrid or office based (Haddenham).

The Role

From the start, you will develop and enhance commercial relationships with Pension providers and Life companies across the UK; building a network of contacts in each account across all lines of business and all channels. Central to your success will be to ensure key clients are supported and are able to maximise the value they receive from investing in their relationship with Defaqto.

Using your experience and skills set, you will be responsible for gaining deeper and wider insight into the key business drivers across your portfolio of clients and be able to translate that into commercial opportunities. You will also be able to articulate and coordinate the delivery of solutions that will help clients attain their business goals.

With effective management of existing business contracts and using your networking and industry experience to seek new opportunities, you will increase annual income.

You will act as the main point of contact to ensure service delivery and support and will be readily available to our key clients. You will also extend your network of Defaqto colleagues to provide feedback on market intelligence to inform product design and proposition development.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• An exceptional understanding of the distribution of financial products in the wealth and protection channel and a good understanding of how that world is changing
• A good understanding of how intelligence led decision making drives better outcomes
• Experience of selling Software as a Service, and Subscription based sales
• To have demonstrable success in previous similar roles (eg. client relationship management, product marketing) within the wealth and protection sector.

Please note that if you are more "sales" than "technical", then this role probably isn't for you. Our Provider clients will expect sound technical product knowledge and for their Account Manager to be able to discuss their challenges and our solutions on a technical le v el i.e. get into the detail.

You will need a valid UK Driving Licence and to be able to travel with overnight stays as and when required. As well as travel to client sites, there is a a regular monthly meeting onsite at our Defaqto offices in Haddenham and this will involve an overnight stay.

Finally, you will be comfortable carrying a target, be personable and inquisitive with a need to know more and be determined and resilient.
