Job Description:
Skillinvest is currently seeking a RTO Compliance Officer with a sound understanding of the Skills First Funding Contract, ASQA Standards for RTOs 2015, AVETMISS requirements and Australian Qualifications Framework.
The role of the RTO Compliance Officer is to support the RTO Compliance Department to ensure compliance of the RTO with training regulatory frameworks and standards as well as ensure all administrative functions within the Training Department are performed to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure currency and up to date knowledge on ASQA, VRQA, HESG and VCAA's frameworks, standards and practices.
- Regular auditing of student files and prompt rectifications of any issues identified.
- Assist the RTO Compliance Coordinator in the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits.
- Verification of Trainers and Assessors credentials
- Auditing of Trainer and Assessor Files and supporting evidence
- Support Trainers in the development of quality compliant assessment tools, trainer matrices, assessment validation process and other training compliance matters.
- Assist the RTO Compliance Coordinator to ensure compliance of the RTO with training regulatory frameworks and standards.
- Assist the RTO Compliance Coordinator to undertake any projects relating to compliance.
- Generate and filter data reports and distribute as directed for rectification.
About You:
- Experience with and knowledge of a Student Management System (VETtrak and/or aXcelerate).
- Sound knowledge of ASQA, VRQA regulatory frameworks and other licencing bodies.
- Detailed knowledge of Skills First funding contract.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work well in a team or autonomously.
- Willingness to accept responsibility to achieve outcomes.
- 2-3 years experience in RTO compliance domain (desirable).
- Knowledge and understanding of Skills SA and Skills Tasmania funding contracts (desirable).
Qualifications/Licences:
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment desirable.
- Current Driver's Licence
- Employee Working with Children Check
- Australian Federal Police Check
