Here at Dawn Until Dusk we are looking for an Area Manager to join our team at Dawn until Dusk!
Location - Admin hours will be completed at Head office in Chicksands, Shefford and your clubs will be allocated closer to the time. All club sites can be found on our website. Working hours 10am-6pm Monday - Friday (40 hours per week). The successful candidate will also need to be flexible to cover last minute staff absences at breakfast club (7.30am-9am). Dawn Until Dusk Ltd, Before, After School & Holiday Club provides high quality, fun, vibrant child-centred and affordable wraparound care and holiday clubs for children at 22 schools in and around Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire. We also have our very own pre-school in Wixams, Bedford. You will report to the Managing Director. As an Area Manager you'll have overall responsibility for the clubs in your area. Your job role will be fast paced, fun and two days are never the same! Your responsibilities will include: Supporting a Manager and family with challenging needs should they arise Visiting your clubs to conduct audits Supporting staff Arranging cover at settings Being in ratio and working on shift yourself with the team Dealing with safeguarding concerns Organising group training Dealing with complaints or concerns Attending and overseeing Ofsted inspections Ensuring your settings are Ofsted and EHO ready at all times. Liaising with external providers - Environmental Health, LADO, Department of Education. The children’s safety and welfare are paramount to us here at Dawn until Dusk, however running messy activities, playing dress up, dancing and singing (both in tune and out of tune singers are welcome), playing in mud kitchens, and hearing the children’s laughter is also very important to us! You will need to have the following to apply: Must hold at least a relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare Excellent time management skills Must be able to drive and have a car with business use Must be able to keep up with the fast-paced environment Must have experience working in a leadership role in a childcare/school environment Must have great communication skills and conflict management skills Experience passing Ofsted Inspections (desirable) If you feel you are a strong individual and have a playful and positive attitude towards life and you have the same ethos as us - apply today or contact HR for more information [email protected] We can't wait to welcome you to the team and begin the journey together!
