Job description
We are a well-established accountancy practice based in North London searching for an Accounts Semi-Senior or Senior to join our busy team.
The firm provides a wide range of accounting and taxation services to clients in a variety of sectors. The successful candidate will be ACA / ACCA qualified or part qualified with a minimum of 2 years’ experience gained in a good quality practice. The role will suit a candidate who is a team player, is technically strong and capable of working independently. The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate good client relationship and communication skills.
The work would be varied and would suit individuals who would like a diverse mix of Statutory and Management Accounts, bookkeeping and taxation. Candidates should also have an aptitude for IT and experience of using accounting software programmes such as Xero and Iris.
It is expected that the candidate will work closely with partners and managers and the main responsibilities will include the following:
- Preparation of Statutory Accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Bookkeeping and preparation of management accounts using various accounting softwares
- Preparing and submitting VAT Returns.
- Preparing and submitting corporate and personal tax returns.
- Supervising and training junior member of staff.
