Process Operator
Process Operator will be reporting to the Shift Supervisor, The Operator will operate and manage the process and machinery of the Plant. This includes the safe Start-up and Shut down of the plant and continual monitoring of conveyors and separation equipment for blockages and reduced efficiency. The Operator will report issues to the Site Supervisory and Maintenance team.
The principle purpose of the role is to ensure that the Plant operates within all key plant performance metrics whilst adhering to all Health and Safety and Environmental requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- To ensure all work is in accordance with all relevant Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
- Plant safety and compliance with constant monitoring and communication.
- Starting, Stopping and monitoring the Plant assets via a SCADA system to ensure the site meets its operational targets.
- Utilising the plant data and reports ensure plant is constantly optimised to meet operational metrics.
- Report continually on the performance of the plant and raise potential issues with the Shift Supervisor.
- Participate in problem solving activities to enhance plant performance.
- Adhere to Company Policies and Procedures.
- Performing and supporting plant preventative maintenance in coordination with engineer.
- Support Plant supervisor in ensuring plant availability is maintained.
- Support plant cleaning and setting to optimise performance.
- Once fully trained, act as supervisor cover it the event of supervisor absence or during weekend work.
Experience Desired
- Knowledge in process optimisation of plant and systems.
- Monitoring of Supervisory and Control systems.
- Ability to respond and react positively under pressure.
- Operational experience in Manufacturing Processing, Energy from Waste, Water Treatment or Heavy Industry would be advantageous.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £33,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
