SEND Teaching Assistant Required for Resource Hub

Axcis are working closely with a lovely resource hub attached to a fantastic primary school in the Brierley Hill area. They have a support staff vacancy for a teaching assistant with experience of working with children with special educational needs (SEN) . The role is based in the resource hub, working with 4-5 year olds with varying SEND needs within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This is a full-time role on an ongoing basis, the school is looking for the successful candidate to start as soon as possible.

Job details:
• Supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
• Supporting children develop through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Working on a one to one and small group basis within a class of 4-5 year olds
• Working alongside the class teacher and the other classroom support staff
• Full time (8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday)
• Ongoing basis, starting ASAP and going to to at least July 2024

Requirements
• Experience of working with individuals with special educational needs (SEN) – Essential
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service required or we’re happy to carry out a new one ahead of you starting the position – Essential
• Minimum of 2 good references – Essential
• Experience of working within the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS) - Desirable
