As our next Reception Team Member, you…

Will be the ‘face of the Mercure White Hart Salisbury’, extending a warm welcome to our guests, putting their well-being at the heart of everything you do, while adding your personal touch to their stay.

Will be the link between the different departments of the hotel to ensure a wonderful guest experience.

Will work proactively to ensure that guests’ needs are met in as timely a fashion as is possible.

Will be a passionate individual, dedicated to continuously improving the quality of the hotel's services.

Will provide quality service to the customer by responding to their requests promptly, efficiently and courteously during check-in, check-out and throughout their stay.

Will maintain control of guest and hotel accounts ensuring that all charges are accurate and posted on a timely basis.

Will maintain strict security procedures with credit and cash transactions, accounting procedures, issue of room keys and guest confidentiality/privacy

Will use every opportunity to promote hotel facilities and maximise sales through sound product knowledge and selling skills.

Will attend to other duties as requested by Management and Supervisors.

Qualifications


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Great attention to detail.
Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills.

To help you navigate your role, and support your success you will be trained in all front of house related functions and the safety of the property and people.

By joining us as a Reception Team Member, you will become part of a friendly team made up of six departments; working together to make our guests’ stays pleasant and memorable. To ensure you can best welcome and care for our guests you will need to be fluent in English.

Understanding things from our guest’s perspective is key, so while you are settling into your new role we will arrange a one-night stay for you to experience this first hand.

Our hotel offers 68 bedrooms, and three meeting rooms, perfect a variety of events and occasions. Guests can take advantage of our onsite restaurant, lounge and bar for a relaxing food and / or drink experience.

The hotel is located in the centre of Salisbury, providing the ideal site from which visitors can explore the wonders of Wiltshire.

To ensure you can best welcome and care for our guests you will need to be fluent in English.
