Location: Watford
Salary: £120 - £220 per day

Exciting Opportunity for a Geography Teacher in Watford!

Are you passionate about exploring the world and inspiring students to understand the complexities of our planet? Join our dynamic team at GSL Education and in a comprehensive secondary client school in Watford as a Geography Teacher and ignite a sense of curiosity and wonder in young minds.

Responsibilities as a Geography Teacher :
  • Design and deliver engaging and interactive Geography lessons that captivate students' interest and promote a deeper understanding of geographical concepts.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including fieldwork, technology, and multimedia resources, to enhance learning experiences and cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Foster critical thinking and analytical skills by encouraging students to investigate geographical issues, analyze data, and formulate reasoned arguments.
  • Promote environmental awareness and sustainability initiatives within the school community through curriculum integration and extracurricular activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular links and enrich the learning experience through interdisciplinary projects and events.

Requirements of a a Geography Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification with a specialization in Geography.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography education, with the ability to inspire curiosity and enthusiasm in students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, colleagues, and parents effectively.
  • Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student participation and encourages exploration and discovery.
  • Commitment to promoting safeguarding and child protection, with a comprehensive understanding of relevant policies and procedures.
