The Memory Assessment Service aim to offer a comprehensive assessment, timely diagnosis and early access to treatment, we aim to work closely with individual service users, their families, carers and other health/social care professionals in order to offer specialist care for an individual’s mental health care needs at a number of levels the role of the team lead is integral to the service.
We are looking to appoint a confident, dynamic and committed leader who will have proven experience and skill for managing teams in a similar role. The successful candidate will take a lead on ensuring local and operational directives for service delivery are sustained at the current standards expected, and work closely with service manager and other senior colleagues.
It is an advantage if you have previous/current experience in managing teams and be able to demonstrate a resilient approach, be skilled in delivering and supporting current key performance indicators and be confident in dealing with complex issues attributed to those living with dementia.
• To lead and promote in the clinical supervision process existing within the team and to deliver supervision and guidance to colleagues involved to deliver an effective service.
• To participate in auditing activity, promoting best practice
• To engage in MAS best practice group meetings as scheduled.
• As Band 7, the successful candidate will support investigations and managing complaints.
• To be able to demonstrate an approach which is aligned with the Trust values. They will be innovative, proactive and be able to work autonomously, with enthusiasm and a “can do” attitude to support the service achieve its vision
The post is offered for a 11 month fixed Term period - this will be at Band 7 Level.
Experience of working within a similar role or within the older adult field would be beneficial although applicants at band 6 level with a passion for leadership will be considered
Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
