Job Purpose

To lead the CAE team to ensure the effective delivery of simulation & analysis-led design to development programmes for products covering applications in UAVs, MHE, portable and stationary power, automotive and aviation.

CAE covers steady state & transient zero & 1D plant modelling, FEA (structural analysis) and CFD (computational fluid dynamics).

Key Accountabilities:

• Leadership of all CAE personnel
• Delivery of simulation and numerical analysis of new products and to support in-service issues
• Development of team to deliver simulation to challenging cost and performance targets
• Development of team to deliver analysis-led designs in minimum time to market
• Definition, training and enforcement of simulation and analysis process and governance
• Mapping out CAE work packages and requirements for programmes
• Identification and allocation of suitable resources across multiple CAE projects

Experience:

The ideal candidate will have 12 years of post graduate experience including at least 5 with CAE Leadership responsibility. You will have a proven track record of defining and delivering CAE activities. You will be able to show experience of leading a cross-departmental team with both technical and non-technical people.
